Behavioral Support

At Connections in Ohio, we provide specialized behavioral support for individuals who are considered high risk or who require consistent structure, routine, and ongoing training. Our service model, team collaboration, and staff development allow us to effectively support individuals with complex behavioral needs while promoting safety, dignity, and personal growth.

Our Behavioral Support Approach

Our success is built on three key pillars:

  • Highly structured daily routines that create predictability and reduce anxiety.

  • Strong collaboration between our professional team, families, and guardians.

  • Comprehensive staff training based on each person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) and behavioral needs.

Certified and Trained Behavioral Professionals

All team members receive behavior management training through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)—the same evidence-based program used by the Cuyahoga and Summit County Boards of Developmental Disabilities. Every employee is certified upon hire and participates in annual refresher training to maintain compliance with state regulations and industry best practices.

With multiple in-house CPI trainers, our staff benefits from frequent classroom instruction and hands-on, in-home training. This ongoing education equips our team with the skills necessary to create a safe, therapeutic environment for every individual we serve.

Committed to Positive Outcomes

By combining structured routines, consistent staff support, and professional behavioral strategies, we help individuals build stability, reduce behavioral challenges, and reach meaningful, long-term outcomes. At Connections in Ohio, we are committed to delivering compassionate, person-centered care that empowers each individual to thrive.
